Quick Start
- Open Tab, choose Jobs, then pick a role.
- Read the job card before switching. It shows the role, limits, and restrictions.
- Some jobs need a vote, like Mayor and high-level police roles.
- Your job controls your shop items, tools, salary, and legal authority.
- If you are new, try Citizen, Miner, Medic, Cook, or Gun Dealer first.
Details
- Civilian jobs are flexible and low pressure.
- Commerce jobs sell goods, run services, or earn through production.
- Criminal jobs use theft, drugs, hacking, or robbery loops.
- Government jobs police the city and review warrants, wanteds, laws, and licenses.
- Entertainment jobs run casino and cinema systems.
- Services jobs help players directly, such as Medic, Guard, and Mercenary.
Gotchas
- Job limits can block a role even when you qualify.
- Job votes can fail or expire.
- Switching jobs can remove job tools and may affect owned job-scoped entities.
- Some old DarkRP role names are different here. Drug Dealer is split into Weed Grower and Meth Alchemist.
