Quick Start
- Pick a job, earn money, and roleplay around the city.
- Use Tab for the main menu: jobs, shop, skills, waypoints, police, and guides.
- Start simple: Citizen, Miner, Medic, Cook, or Gun Dealer are easy first roles.
- Buy property or equipment when you have money to protect.
- Ask in OOC if you are lost. Most systems have a safe first step.
Details
- Dark RP is a city roleplay sandbox. Jobs give you tools, rules, and ways to make money.
- Civilian and service jobs are safer. Criminal jobs pay well but attract police attention.
- Government jobs enforce laws, manage warrants, and keep the city running.
- Your wallet is spendable cash. Your bank and persistent progress are safer long-term goals.
- The server is host-authoritative: buttons request actions, but the server validates money, jobs, access, and ownership.
Gotchas
- Do not assume old GMod DarkRP rules are identical here.
- Some classic roles are split into clearer jobs, like Weed Grower and Meth Alchemist.
- Death, arrest, job changes, and disconnects can affect active equipment.
- If a UI looks empty, check your job. Shops and tools are job-restricted.
